IDS increased production facility by 100%
IDS continued to grow at a controlled and sustainable rate. During this five-year period, we only placed three commercial adverts, yet still managed to double our staff and the size of our manufacturing plant to accommodate growth and expansion.
We were formally chosen to be a UK distributor and manufacturer for the Raumplus brand, a quality German system that enjoys worldwide popularity. This coincided with IDS's expansion strategy that embraced new high growth markets, such as New-Build, Hotel Refurbishment and the roll out of more High Street Retailer partnerships.
Introduction of modular hinged door systems
In response to the markets growing demands for "ready to fit" products, IDS introduced modular hinged door systems for the "on-site" installation that the New Build sector had been seeking for a long time.
Achieved ISO 14001
Environmental issues have always been paramount to IDS and in 2005, we obtained a commitment from our team, customers and suppliers to recycle our waste glass, steel, aluminium, cardboard and wood in a joint initiative designed to facilitate positive environmental change.
Relocation to new manufacturing site
In late 2005, we relocated to a larger plant four times the size of our existing premises. This has enabled us to optimise our manufacturing process and has created the capacity for continued future growth.
Added the prestigious Noteborn system to our range
In 2007, following a period of outstanding growth we introduced a new prestigious high-end range of doors from the Netherlands. Noteborn is the perfect product to meet the expansion of dynamic new markets and will facilitate even greater growth for IDS.
Heralded a new phase in the visionary implantation of our principles.
To transform doors into genuine works of art that fulfill an inspirational purpose within the environment of our homes. Historically, doors were highly decorative and symbolic; IDS's vision was and still is, to refresh and modernise this heritage by creating harmonious and beautiful focal points in our contemporary lives.
This year Interior Door Systems saw the loss of Joe Collins, one of the founding members of the Company. Factory Manager Carl Bartley later in the year then became IDS’s New Director.
